About DayZ File Toolbox
A Decade in the Wasteland
DayZ File Toolbox wasn't built in a boardroom—it was built in the RPT logs. Created by SayWhen38, this project is the result of over ten years of active membership in the DayZ community. Having managed countless private servers and currently maintaining three active environments, I understand the technical hurdles and the "XML-induced" headaches that come with being a server administrator.
Five Years of Giving Back
For the last five years, I have served as a moderator on specialized coding Discords, dedicated to helping new and veteran server owners master the art of file editing. Helping others learn to customize their game for free has been a core part of my journey. I saw a massive gap in the community: a need for high-quality, professional-grade tools that are 100% free, with no mandatory sign-ups, no hidden subscriptions, and no forced logins.
Our Vision
We aim to ensure that every server owner, regardless of their technical background, has the resources they need to create a unique experience for their players. Whether you are adjusting types.xml or building complex loadouts, we believe the tools should be as accessible as the game itself. This site was created to be the central hub for those tools—built with precision and maintained with the same passion that keep us playing DayZ after all these years.
Full Community Support
We don't just provide the tools and walk away. We believe in active support. We have established a dedicated Discord community where users can get full support, share ideas, and help one another grow. If you're struggling with a configuration or have a suggestion for a new feature, our community is the place to be. We are built for the community, by the community.
Transparency and Ethics
In an era of "pay-to-play" tools, DayZ File Toolbox stands firm on being a free resource. We sustain our operations through minimal advertising and voluntary community donations (Buy Me a Coffee). This ensures that the tools remain available to everyone, ensuring the DayZ modding scene continues to thrive for another decade.
